Specify the work plane.
When you are happy with your profile sketch go ahead and hit the green cross.
Activate roof fascia.
In the above image you can see the roof geometry in elevation.
You can load it by accessing revit menu open family.
Click architecture tabbuild panelroof drop down roof by extrusion.
This will instruct revit to proceed and create the 3d geometry for your roof form.
Notice how the roof is built down from the profile sketch you created.
