Roof Mildew Vinegar

Once the sponge is soaked spread the vinegar using it over all areas of the rubber roof with mold on them.

Mix 1 part bleach to 3 parts water and apply to the mildew covered area with a hand pump sprayer. Pour distilled white vinegar into a bucket. What you have to do first is to prepare a sponge and soak it in the vinegar. Graphic left courtesy spray and forget mildew and moss remover.

The vinegar should be labeled with its acetic acid strength which shouldn t be more than 5 percent. Pour the mixture into the spray bottle. Start on lowest row of shingles and work your way backwards to the upper part of the roof.

Spray the entire roof thoroughly. If you need follow up scrubbing combine one teaspoon baking soda with two cups of water. Add full strength white distilled vinegar to a spray bottle and spray it on the mold. Let it sit for at least an hour before wiping away mold.

Ensure that you also cover all surrounding areas to deal with early mold growth which is not visible yet. This will prevent the solution from draining in your direction.
